Scripture 讀經：Deuteronomy 申命記4:1-9

1 Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. 2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.  3 You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did at Baal Peor. The Lord your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor, 4 but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today. 5 See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. 6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” 7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him? 8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?  9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. 1 「以色列人哪，現在我所教訓你們的律例、典章，你們要聽從遵行，好叫你們存活，得以進入耶和華你們列祖之神所賜給你們的地，承受為業。 2 所吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守我所吩咐的，就是耶和華你們神的命令。 3 耶和華因巴力毗珥的事所行的，你們親眼看見了，凡隨從巴力毗珥的人，耶和華你們的神都從你們中間除滅了。 4 唯有你們專靠耶和華你們神的人，今日全都存活。 5 我照著耶和華我神所吩咐的，將律例、典章教訓你們，使你們在所要進去得為業的地上遵行。 6 所以你們要謹守遵行，這就是你們在萬民眼前的智慧、聰明。他們聽見這一切律例，必說：『這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明！』 7 哪一大國的人有神與他們相近，像耶和華我們的神，在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢？ 8 又哪一大國有這樣公義的律例、典章，像我今日在你們面前所陳明的這一切律法呢？9 「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生這事離開你的心，總要傳給你的子子孫孫。
