Prayers – October 11, 2026
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Thank you, LORD….
• for safety and Your presence with us in whatever is happening in our day
• that we have only to look up and see your power and creativity in the everchanging canvas of the skies
• for the disciples who endured hardship from one generation to the next but never wavered in proclaiming the Gospel that we hear today
• for calling us your children despite our wayward tendencies
• for bringing us hope and refreshment with each new morning
Have your way in us, LORD, guiding us to be more like Jesus…. showing mercy to sinners. ““Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” John 8:10-11
Forgive us, Lord, when we have made having physical possessions more important than attending to the well-being of others.
We pray for brothers and sisters and ourselves as we walk together as a family of God….
• by the power of the Holy Spirit, may we continue to speak the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31
• for protection and healing for children who have suffered through longstanding illness
• help us to discern whether roadblocks are meant for us to turn a different direction or to teach us perseverance
• that our Sunday School lessons will guide us to be better disciples
• that worship is not about how we feel, but that God is honored by our faith, gratitude, obedience, and willing hearts

But remember that we have to ask things of God that are in keeping with the God whom Jesus Christ revealed. John 15:7
