Sympathy is expressed to the family of long-time member, Ruth Chan. Ruth passed away on February 4, 2026 after a brief illness.  She was 95 and served faithfully at CCC for more than 50 years in both the Cantonese and English congregations. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for March 2.  Details to follow.

Chinese Spring Retreat will be next weekend, February 21-22, 2026.  Sessions will be led by Elder Der-Chen Chang at the church – two in the morning starting at 8:30 am and one in the afternoon after lunch on Saturday. The Sunday session will be at the regularly-scheduled Cantonese (9:30 am) and Mandarin (10:45 am) worship services.  Parking available at 900 New York Avenue PMI lot with parking stamp from the church.

Membership Classes New members to be received on Easter Sunday, April 5.  For those interested in joining CCC by baptism, affirmation of faith or transfer, please contact one of the pastors so that classes can be scheduled.  

Reading Through the Gospels During Lent As we make a commitment to prioritize reading the Bible and spending time in the Word of God this year, this is a wonderful opportunity to do that together as a church family. As we read through the Gospels together, our prayer is that God will open up your heart and mind, and that we will learn to trust and obey, building our foundation on His Word. Pick up your 8-week schedule in English at church.  Readings begin February 16.

Church Offices Closed for Presidents’ Day Holiday, February 16.

Ash Wednesday Services at CCC on February 18 in the sanctuary.  Grace DC is hosting a noon service and District Church is hosting a service at 7 pm.  All are welcome to attend.

Ladies English Adult Fellowship will restart meeting on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. The next one will be virtual on February 27th at 7:30 PM.  For more information contact Grace Chen (gracechen@arizona.edu).

The Washington, D.C. Lunar New Year celebrations will be held on February 22, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of I Street and Sixth Street. Please note that the street will be closed in front of the church so drop off should be on 5thStreet where it intersects I Street.  CCC will host some young Sea Cadets and Marines for lunch – they will be joining the parade.

Save Chinatown Solidarity Network’s Lunar New Year Community Art Day! All are invited to join Save Chinatown’s celebration of the Year of the Horse which will be held at church on February 21 from 3 – 6 pm – a wheatpaste workshop, a kung fu demonstration from Hung Tao Choy Mei, and performances by the DMV Qipao Fashion Dance Group.  See flyer on bulletin board for more information.

Church Activity Schedule Changes due to inclement weather or emergencies will be announced on the church website and Facebook, on the email listserv, or on WTOP news https://wtop.com/closings-and-delays/.  Please make decisions for travel based on what is safest for your area.  Office closures will usually follow federal government advice.

Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services.  Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.  If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card, or using the PayPal Giving Fund.  Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be in February 26, 2026. Translators are provided.  You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.

Community Services Classes on Zoom:  English as a Second Language Class, Tuesdays @ 6 pm; Citizenship Classes, Saturday mornings on zoom. Contact Chinatown Service Center for changes to schedule or to register and obtain the meeting link: 202-898-0061.

代禱與教會消息 我們懷著不捨與感恩的心，向本堂多年忠心服事的會友陳沈懿虔姊妹的家人致上深切的慰問。沈懿虔姊妹於2026年2月4日，在短暫病痛後安息主懷，享年95歲。她在本教會忠心服事超過五十年，無論在粵語或英語堂都留下美好的見證。追思感恩禮拜暫定於教會在3月2日舉行，紀念她在主裡豐盛的一生，詳情將另行通知。

中文春令會 訂於2026年2月21–22日週末舉行。聚會將由張德健長老在教會帶領：週六早上從8:30開始有兩堂信息，午餐後還有一堂；週日信息將像平常主日粵語崇拜早上9:30與國語崇拜早上10:45中進行。教會提供停車服務，請使用900 New York Avenue PMI停車場，並持教會提供的停車票。

華盛頓特區農曆新年遊行活動 2026年2月22日下午2點至4點舉行遊行，起點為I街與第六街交界。請注意，教會前方街道將封閉，接送請至與I街交界的第五街。教會將為參與遊行的年輕海軍學員及陸軍軍官舉辦午餐招待。

支持唐人街團結網絡 — 農曆新年社區藝術日 歡迎大家參加Save Chinatown在教會舉辦的馬年慶祝活動，日期為2月21日下午3點至6點。活動包括：小麥糊貼畫工作坊、Hung Tao Choy Mei武術表演，以及DMV旗袍舞蹈表演團的精彩演出。詳情請參閱布告欄海報。

法律咨詢：服務中心配合亞美法律資源中心在每個月有提供一次法律咨詢,下次在2026年2月26日。現場配有翻譯。需要服務者必須打電話202-898-0061或送電郵到csc.coordinator@cccdc.com提前向服務中心確認日期和預約。預約時將會提供詳細信息。

服務中心提供英文課和公民考試課：英文課的時間逢星期二下午6點至7點，及公民考試課程逢星期六早上9點至10點在Zoom上舉行。請撥打服務中心電話202-898-0061查詢課程時間、登記注冊和獲取課程鏈接。
