Joint Communion Worship Service, August 3, 2025, 10:45 am
While most English congregation members are at the Summer Retreat, those remaining will join Chinese congregations for worship together in the Hung Memorial Hall. A special Zoom link will be provided in the church-wide weekly email. Rev. Charles Koo will speak.

Sympathy is expressed to the Family of Dr. Carroll Gunkel. Dr. Gunkel, Pastor of Mt. Vernon Place UMC when we began the Shared Ministry in 1994, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He also served as Interim Pastor of CCC from 1996 to 1999 while we were searching for a Senior Pastor. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2 pm at Catonsville United Methodist Church, 6 Melvin Ave. Catonsville, MD 21228.
90th Anniversary Banquet Please join us to celebrate the Church’s 90th Anniversary with an eleven course dinner at China Garden Han Gong Restaurant, 11333 Woodglen Dr, Rockville, MD 20852 on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed support to seven missions in 2025 so far. Mission donations total $3,060 for the month of July; YTD equals $27,870. For information about supported ministries or to suggest others, please contact Dong Woo Jung.

● Meet our newest missionaries, Bryan and Selena Woods, who will join missionary faculty for International Graduate School of Leadership in the Philippines sent by Teach Beyond. They will give a short presentation on Sunday, August 24, 2025 after English worship.

● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join as a church to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during family for prayer in our next virtual meeting on August 5, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. You may the hour.

Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card, or use the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be August 7, 2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
