Prayers – March 2, 2025
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
As we begin the season of Lent on this Ash Wednesday, March 5, may we devote extra time in prayer, repentance, fasting and reflection on what Jesus has done for us in being our “sacrifice” for the atonement of our sins.
Thank you, Lord….
● for your comfort in whatever situation we find ourselves. Philippians 4:6-7
● for the wonders we witness in your universe
● that you enrich our lives beyond measure
● for being present and caring for us in everyday things
● for Your “will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time”; for Your new covenant promises that with our faith in Jesus, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.” Hebrews 10:10, 17
Have your way in us, Lord, even as we fight to control each aspect of our lives, guide us to be more like Jesus….
● Help us show You love and respect by listening and obeying. “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Forgive us for ignoring and thinking we know best.
● Remind us we have no reason for being weary of or neglect service to God for He is the foundation of love and affection and Source of our power to serve. “All my springs are in you”. Psalm 87:7
● Help us to leave lasting influence, not by our individual deeds, but by reflecting the character of Jesus in our being. For Christ’s love compels us. 2 Corinthians 5:14
● Help us to show compassion to all. “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” Matthew 5:43-45
We pray for brothers and sisters not only at CCC but also outside our walls, asking that God’s good and perfect will be accomplished even though we might not understand the process or outcome….
● for easing inner turmoil for those suffering from the actions of others
● for those with physical frailty
● for those sharing the gospel in hostile environments
● for perseverance for those leading Bible study and prayer groups
● for our children to learn to be humble rather than prideful
● that God will guide the pastoral search and help us discern what CCC should look like when it turns 100
● that we may take time to be an encouragement to someone who needs to experience the love of Jesus

“又要以耶和華為樂，祂就將你心裡所求的賜給祢。” 詩篇37:4
● 主祢在我們身處任何境遇時帶來安慰。（腓立比書 4:6-7）
● 主祢讓我們得以見證，宇宙中的奇妙作為。
● 主祢賜予我們無法衡量的豐盛生命。
● 主祢時刻與我們同在，在日常生活中關顧我們。
● 主祢的旨意—透過耶穌基督的身體一次獻上，使我們成聖；感謝祢的新約應許，我們憑這旨意，靠耶穌基督只一次獻上他的身體，就得以成聖。「我不再記念他們的罪愆和他們的過犯。」（希伯來書 10:10, 17）
主啊，儘管我們努力操縱生活的各個層面，求主幫助我們按祢的方式行事, 讓我們變得更像耶穌…
● 幫助我們通過聆聽與順服來向祢表達愛與敬畏。「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。」（約翰福音 14:15）請饒恕我們的忽視與自以為是。
● 提醒我們，無需對事奉感到疲憊或疏忽，因為祂是愛與恩典的根基，也是我們服事的力量之源。「我的泉源都在你裡面！」（詩篇 87:7）
● 幫助我們留下長遠的影響，不是憑藉個人的作為，而是通過我們生命中展現基督的品格。「原來基督的愛激勵我們，因我們想：一人既替眾人死，眾人就都死了；」（哥林多後書 5:14）
● 幫助我們向所有人展現憐憫。「你們聽見有話說：『當愛你的鄰舍，恨你的仇敵。』只是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，為那逼迫你們的禱告，這樣就可以做你們天父的兒子，因為他叫日頭照好人也照歹人，降雨給義人也給不義的人。（馬太福音 5:43-45）
我們不只為教會的弟兄姐妹禱告，也為在教會以外的弟兄姐妹禱告，即使我們完全不明白上帝的旨意為何，我們仍祈求祂完善的旨意成全。
● 求神安撫那些因他人行為而內心受苦的人。
● 求神扶持身體軟弱的人。
● 求神保守在敵對環境中傳揚福音的人。
● 求神賜下堅持的心給帶領聖經學習與禱告小組的人。
● 求神讓我們的孩子學會謙卑，而非驕傲。
● 求神引領我們招求牧者的所有過程，並幫助我們辨識CCC在100週年時應當成為的樣貌。
● 求神幫助我們騰出時間，鼓勵那些需要經歷耶穌之愛的人。
