December 8, 2024 – Prayers
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Thank you, Lord, for this second Sunday of Advent when we light the candle of peace, remembering that, “A child has been born for us. We have been given a son who will be our ruler. His names will be Wonderful Advisor and Mighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 On the cross Christ did away with our hatred for each other. He also made peace between us and God by uniting Jews and Gentiles in one body. Christ came and preached peace to you Gentiles, who were far from God, and peace to us Jews, who were near God. And because of Christ, all of us can come to the Father by the same Spirit. Ephesians 2:16-18 We pray that Christ can bring justice, wholeness and harmony to every relationship throughout the world.
Have your way in us, Lord, even as we fight to control each aspect of our lives, guide us to be more like Jesus….
● may we follow the example of the baby born in Bethlehem who is humble and gentle. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29
● help us to be faith-filled, never knowing where we’ll be led, but knowing and trusting the One Who is leading.
● please open our eyes to see where You might use us today
● accept our prayers as incense offered to you, and our upraised hands as an evening offering.
● help us to attain that higher standard to which you have called your children. Never let us dull our senses to those in need or fail in life to being and doing our utmost for His highest
We pray for brothers and sisters not only at CCC but also outside our walls, asking that God’s good and perfect will be accomplished even though we might not understand the process or outcome….
● for physical healing and patience for those with health issues
● for those looking for a job
● for new graduates
● for small churches struggling to survive amidst persecution and depleted finances
● that we may be encouragers who bring peace and joy to those who have forgotten the riches that are available to them
● that our leaders will seek God’s wisdom to carry out their tasks

感謝主 … 今天是將臨節的第二個主日，當我們點燃和平之燭時，記念：「有一嬰孩為我們而生，有一子賜給我們，政權必擔在祂的肩頭上。祂名稱為奇妙策士、全能的神、永恆的父、和平的君。」—以賽亞書 9:6 。基督在十字架上消除了我們彼此的仇恨，並藉著使猶太人和外邦人合而為一，成就了我們與神之間的和平。「基督來了，來傳和平的福音給你們這些遠離神的外邦人，也傳和平的福音給我們這些靠近神的猶太人。因為基督，我們藉著祂被一個聖靈所感，得以進到父面前。」—以弗所書 2:16-18。我們祈求基督帶來公義、圓滿及和諧，使世界上每一段關係都得以重建。
主啊，儘管我們努力操縱生活的各個層面，求主幫助我們按祢的方式行事, 讓我們變得更像耶穌…
● 願我們效法出生於伯利恆的嬰孩，學習祂的謙卑和溫柔。「我心裡柔和謙卑，你們當負我的軛，學我的樣式，這樣，你們心裡就必得享安息。」—馬太福音 11:29
● 求主幫助我們充滿信心，即使不知道將被引導到何處，但相信並信靠那位領路的主。
● 求主打開我們的眼睛，讓我們看見今天主祢要如何使用我們。
● 願主悅納我們的禱告如同獻上的香，並接納我們舉起的手如同晚祭。
● 求主幫助我們達到祢所召喚兒女的更高標準，不讓我們對有需要的人麻木，或在生活中失去對祢至高旨意的追求和行動。
我們不只為教會的弟兄姐妹禱告，也為在教會以外的弟兄姐妹禱告，即使我們完全不明白上帝的旨意為何，我們仍祈求祂完善的旨意成全。
● 為身體健康有問題的人禱告，求身體痊癒並賜下忍耐。
● 為尋找工作的弟兄姊妹禱告。
● 為新畢業生禱告。
● 為在逼迫和財務困難中掙扎求存的小教會禱告。
● 求主幫助我們成為勸慰者，給記憶中失去屬靈之豐盛的人，帶來和平與喜樂。
● 求神賜智慧給我們的領袖，幫助他們完成所託付的使命。
