“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
- We give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever. 2 Chronicles 20:21. We thank you for Rev. Sharon Huie bringing the message at the Joint Service at church. We also thank you for our retreat speaker, Rev. Mike Park, as well as the body of believers who help us grow no matter where we are.
- God, we have heard that “you are the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. You will not grow tired or weary, your understanding no one can fathom. You give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall” (Isaiah 40:28-30). Thank you Lord, that you do not ever grow tired or weary.
- God, this world is distressing and confusing, and many voices want to drive us to a perspective that feels void of hope. Help us to root our hearts in the promise and power of the resurrection of Jesus, who holds our future. 1 Peter 1:3-12
- Lord, help us to give up all our thoughts and actions that bring you sadness. Create in us a repentant heart that has no room for a ‘me’ attitude.
- May God comfort those mourning the loss of loved ones.
- We pray for our city. May we be bold and courageous to overcome evil knowing our God stands with us.
- Jesus tells us to love God and our neighbor as ourselves. Mark 12:30-31. Teach us to be compassionate and humble. Let us recognize and remember the benefits of caring for others, and how you bless us according to our good deeds.
- We pray that our ministry programs will achieve God’s desired goal – retreat participants will find renewed pep in their spiritual walk; Vacation Bible School workers and children will experience His love and that a desire to know Him more will grow in their hearts; small group studies will create committed disciples.
- May our worship be genuine and acceptable to our Father.
- We pray for those suffering with ill health, financial challenges, and emotional pain. May God bring strength and peace to them.
