Prayers: August 21, 2022

PRAYERS
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will
sustain you… (Psalm 55:22)
● Thank you Lord, for the many clear and
sunny days which boost our spirits.
● Help us to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.” God has a “race
marked out for us,” one in which we must “not grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12: 1-3) We pray
that we do not carry the excess weight of sin in our journey.
● Pray that we may always find quiet times with the Lord even amidst the noisy world.
● May our response to God’s teaching always be devotion not discouragement, for He will always provide
the strength and tools to do His will.
● Pray for patience for those affected by strict COVID restrictions and shutdowns.
● May we bring a spirit of joy to our worship which pleases the Lord. Psalm 92:4
● Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!  For each day he carries us in his arms.  Psalm 68:19
● We pray for our church family – for those dealing with health and mobility issues; for those who are
homebound, for those with job and financial worries; for those in broken relationships. May they trust
God when He says, “I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
● We pray for those preparing to be married. May God be the heart of their new families.
● We pray for our Sunday School Department – for teaching to fall on fertile ground, for God to raise up
coworkers in this ministry, for students to experience the Holy Spirit’s nudging in their daily lives.
● We pray for our community, that we may work diligently to foster a safe and loving neighborhood.

“你要把你的重擔卸給耶和華，祂必撫養你…。”

詩篇五十五章 二十二節
● 感謝主給予多日的晴朗和明媚陽光來鼓舞了我們的精神。
● 求主幫助我們“放下各樣的重擔，脫去容易纏累我們的罪”。祢有一個“擺在我們前頭的路程”，
當中我們必須“免得疲倦灰心”（希伯來書12：1-3）願我們在旅途上不要背負罪的重擔。
● 祈求即使在喧囂的世界中，我們也總能找到與主在一起的安靜時光。
● 願我們永遠以忠心而不是灰心來回應主的教導，因為祂總是會提供力量和工具來完成祂的旨意。
● 為那些因COVID的嚴格限制和關閉而受到影響的人祈禱。

● 為我們的教會大家庭祈禱——為那些健康和行動有問題的人、困在家裡的人、受工作和財務問題困
擾的人、有關係破裂的人祈禱。願他們相信神所說：“我必堅固你，我必幫助你，我必用我公義的
右手扶持你。”以賽亞書41:10。
● 為那些準備結婚的人祈禱。願主成為他們新家庭的核心。
● 為我們的主日學部禱告——讓教學落在肥沃的土地上，讓主在這個事工上興起同工，讓學生在日常
生活中體驗到聖靈的輕推。
