Prayers

Always be joyful. Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

• Thank God for His amazing power and work in our lives,
• Thank God for His goodness and blessings over us.
• Thank God for the warmth in our hearts lit by His Word.
• Thank God for time to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Tiger with family.
• Thank God for reminding us life is not always easy, but that we don’t have to carry our burdens into each new day because He shares our load.
• Pray that we may learn from our past and ask God to help us see the future He has designed for us.
• When we are tempted to give up, pray that God will keep us going. Pray for cheerful spirits when things don’t go our way and courage to do whatever needs to be done.
• Ask God to keep our feet from stumbling and our minds from wandering into distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things He has designed for us to accomplish.
• Pray for peace in the world, that those who are driven by power, self-centeredness and greed, will have their plans to stir up trouble thwarted.
• Pray for those struggling in winter weather.
• Pray for those dealing with COVID issues- sickness, anxiety, employment, fears, and misinformation.
• Pray for God’s protection over our children who rely on adults to know what’s best for them.
• Pray for our church Sunday School classes and fellowship groups, that they continue to provide nourishment to God’s people through the teaching of God’s truths and the encouragement of being with other believers.
• Pray for our missionaries getting started in their new year ministries – may God protect and guide them to His purposes.
• Thank God for brothers and sisters who step up to carry on the work of CCC!

To Think About

As Christians, it is our calling to reach out to those who are suffering.  It is a sure sign of our faithfulness to engage in sacrificial care, not to be careless about our own safety, but to be courageous enough to do something within our ability to alleviate the suffering and sickness around us.  In fact, it is what Jesus has called us to do and a measure against how Jesus will look at our life when we see Him. Matthew 25: 37-40, “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?  Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’  “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’  May we serve Jesus as a people of healing.

帖撒羅尼迦前書 五章 十六至十八節

• 感謝上帝在我們生活中的驚人力量和工作。
• 感謝上帝對我們的美善和祝福。
• 感謝上帝以祂的話燃點我們心中的溫暖。
• 感謝上帝給予我們和家人一起慶祝虎年新歲的時間。
• 感謝上帝提醒我們生活並不總是那麼容易，但我們不必背負重擔到明天，因為祂會給我們分擔。
• 祈禱我們可以從過去中學習，並求主幫助我們看到祂為我們準備好的未來。
• 當我們想放棄時，求主讓我們繼續前進。當事情不順心時，求祂給予開朗的精神和勇氣去做應做的事情。
• 求上帝使我們的腳不會跌倒，思想不會分心，而至在必須完成祂為我們準備好最重要的工作中偷走寶貴時間和精力。
• 祈求世界和平，那些被權力、自我和貪婪驅使的人的挑釁計劃將被挫敗。
• 為那些在寒冬裡掙扎的人禱告。
• 為那些在應付新冠病毒而至的疾病、焦慮、就業、恐懼和錯誤信息問題的人禱告。
• 祈求上帝保護我們的孩子，他們依靠成年人認識什麼是對他們最好。
• 為我們教會的主日學班和團契小組禱告，祈求他們通過教導主的真理繼續為上帝的子民提供滋養和與其他信徒在一起時得以鼓勵。
• 為我們的傳教士開始他們新一年的事工祈禱 — 願主保守和引導他們達到祂的目的。
• 感謝上帝那些挺身而出接續CCC工作的弟兄姊妹。

思想

作為基督徒，我們的呼召是向那些受苦的人伸出援手。獻身關懷是我們忠誠的明確標誌，不是對自己的安全漠不關心，而是有足夠的勇氣去做一些力量所能的事情，以減輕我們周邊的痛苦和疾病。事實上，這是耶穌呼召我們去做的事情，也是我們面對耶穌時他會如何衡量我們生活的一個標準。馬太福音25章37-40節：義人就回答說：『主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了給你吃，渴了給你喝？什麼時候見你做客旅留你住，或是赤身露體給你穿？又什麼時候見你病了或是在監裡，來看你呢？』王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們：這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』願我們以醫治的子民來事奉耶穌。
