Prayers
Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:
- Thank you, Lord, that You are constantly doing new things.
- Thank you, Lord, for the beauty of new-fallen snow.
- Thank you, Lord, that You are able to handle my every need; please give me the courage to bring all my struggles before You.
- Thank you, Lord, that You anoint me with the Holy Spirit. 1 John 2:27
- Thank you, Lord, for reminding me that all things are possible when I believe.
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:
- Those with ongoing health concerns. Pray for healing and the Holy Spirit to bring peace.
- Those in nursing or homebound care – that they may see hope in the daily sunrise
- For those facing the negative impact of COVID-19 either medically, financially or emotionally. Pray for patience and trust that God is at work
- For those mourning the loss of loved ones
- For those suffering from earthquakes and winter weather
- That our missionaries may persevere and trust God when their mission field environment is unstable
- For those who are living alone
Pray for CCC:
- For wisdom in planning new ministries beyond worship and Sunday School
- To be faithful to tasks that God has called CCC to carry out both individually and as a church
- For wisdom in selecting missionaries to support
- That in our Lenten journey, we may reflect on being like Jesus as he was in the Garden of Gethsemane, choosing to be obedient to God’s plan.
- For humility and unity of spirit as we work together
- That we may persevere even when we are challenged by obstacles of differing points of view and limited resources
- That even as we meet physical needs of those around and among us, we must not forget meeting their need to know Jesus is our most important work
To Think About: Let us focus on the majesty and power of our Father, the one who created all things and has never failed to take care of us in the past, is continually with us in the present and will continue to love us into heaven in the future. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 ESV When your heart is broken and you feel miserable, put yourself in God’s Word and prayer, and allow the holy Spirit to make you whole again.
