25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.  28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”  29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  (ESV) 25 「這些事，我是用比喻對你們說的。時候將到，我不再用比喻對你們說，乃要將父明明地告訴你們。 26 到那日，你們要奉我的名祈求。我並不對你們說，我要為你們求父； 27 父自己愛你們，因為你們已經愛我，又信我是從父出來的。 28 我從父出來，到了世界；我又離開世界，往父那裡去。」 29 門徒說：「如今你是明說，並不用比喻了。 30 現在我們曉得你凡事都知道，也不用人問你，因此我們信你是從神出來的。」 31 耶穌說：「現在你們信嗎？ 32 看哪，時候將到，且是已經到了，你們要分散，各歸自己的地方去，留下我獨自一人；其實我不是獨自一人，因為有父與我同在。 33 我將這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裡面有平安。在世上你們有苦難，但你們可以放心，我已經勝了世界。」（和合本）
