August 4, 2024 Prayers

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Thank you, Lord….
● for our Sunday School leaders and teachers
● for summer vacations, an opportunity for God to do something new in our hearts
● for the amazing strength that becomes ours when we have Your assurance
Have your way in us, Lord, even as we fight to control each aspect of our lives….
● Help us to respond to your insistent plea to pray – I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Timothy 2:1
● Teach us to use our freedom, not to satisfy our selfish desires but to serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13
● Guide us to trust in Christ Jesus with our whole heart. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill our lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. Colossians 3:16
● Remind us of your promise that as believers, our sins are forgiven and we may be in God’s presence again: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 Thank God for Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross to make this possible.
We pray for brothers and sisters not only at CCC but also outside our walls, asking that God’s good and perfect will be accomplished even though we might not understand the process or outcome….
● for those undergoing prolonged medical treatment or recovering from surgery
● for those whose strength seems unequal to their tasks
● for those whose minds are confused
● for those who have lost loved ones due to war and fire
● for the children, leaders and others involved in Vacation Bible School
● that righteous leaders will be lifted up to serve our nation

● 提醒我們您的應許，作為信徒，我們的罪得赦免，我們可以再次進入神的面前：「這稱為我名下的子民若自卑，禱告，尋求我的面，轉離他們的惡行，我必從天上垂聽，赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的地。」歷代志下7:14 感謝耶穌在十字架上的犧牲使這成為可能。

我們為不只在CCC的兄弟姊妹禱告，也為牆外的弟兄姊妹禱告，祈求主的良善和完美的旨意得以實現，即使我們可能不理解過程或結果……
● 為那些正在接受長期治療或正在康復的人禱告。
● 為那些力量似乎不夠應付他們任務的人禱告。
● 為那些心智混亂的人禱告。
● 為那些因戰爭和火災失去親人的人禱告。
● 為參與假期聖經學校的孩子、領袖和其他人禱告。
● 願正義的領導者被舉起來為我們的國家服務。
