“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  Psalm 37:4

  • Thank you, Lord, for the summer of new experiences. May we embrace the blessings that the fall season will bring.
  • Thank you, Lord, for visitors and newcomers. May they be encouraged by Your presence in worship.
  • Thank you, Lord, for helping us through change when our first inclination is to rebel against it.
  • Pray for the victims of floods, earthquakes and storms. Strengthen our trust in You that we may overcome our fears.
  • Still our souls and calm our hearts as You did with Jesus in the garden before his crucifixion, especially when things don’t turn out as expected.
  • We pray for our children, that they will be able to turn their eyes away from worthless things or anything or anyone that would cause them to stumble, trip or fall into sinful thoughts or actions.
  • We pray for those struggling with poor health, that God will give them peace, purpose, and strength for what lies ahead.
  • Lead us to pray purposefully and daily this week for someone we know who is in a broken relationship.
  • May the Holy Spirit lead us to produce the fruit of self-control in our lives – making sure that our actions are always reflecting the love and character of Jesus.
  • We pray for readiness to serve God at a moment’s notice and not waste time in procrastination.
  • We pray for our Official Board and ministry teams, that their work will align with Your plan for our church.
  • Forgive us, Lord, wherever we have not brought glory and honor to Your name.
  • Let us think about your promise for rest. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” –Matthew 11:28-30
