Prayers: September 25, 2022

Sep 23, 2022   •

Cast your cares on the Lord    and he will sustain you… (Psalm 55:22)

  • Thank you Lord, that You bless us in this life into eternity. For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. (Hebrews 13:14-15).
  • Pray for those going through a season of sadness and discouragement.
  • Pray for healing in our nation – over the economy, health crises, disorganization, natural disasters, selfish attitudes…. – pray that we may learn to think of others before ourselves.
  • Help us to find clear direction around the obstacles in our day.
  • Remind us that our wise plans are only wise when committed and blessed by the Lord. Proverbs 16:3
  • Help us to see ourselves as God sees us, not perfect, but still lovable.
  • As we grow in relationship with the Lord, may our deeds —humility, meekness, showing mercy, righteousness, having a pure heart, peacemaking—become second nature to us and point people to our good Father in heaven.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit invades our lives so that there is no room left for pride and self-serving attitudes, but instead complete worship of the Lord.
  • May we strive to build a neighborhood where God would be pleased to live. God, please show us what to do.
  • Lord, we are good at doing many things; help us to be better at being Your devoted child.
  • We pray for our church family – for those dealing with health and mobility issues; for those who are homebound, for those with job and financial worries; for those in broken relationships. Pray that they will find strength in God. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
