Prayers
Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:
- Thank you, Lord, for the beauty seen in flakes of snow.
- Thank you, Lord, for freedom from the law of sin and death.
- Thank you, Lord, that I am not stuck in the pain of the past but can choose to focus on the joy of the morning.
- Thank you, Lord, for brothers and sisters in the Lord ready to pick me up when I stumble. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
- Thank you, Lord, that I am recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Revelation 21:27
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:
- Those with ongoing health concerns including those with COVID-19. May they experience the Great Physician at work.
- Those in nursing or homebound care, that they may experience peace in their daily activities
- For the COVID-19 vaccination process, that we may be patient while waiting our turn for vaccination and not grow weary of following safety guidelines.
- That we may continue to demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) even in our limited interactions
- That we may make allowance for each other’s faults just as Christ did for us. Colossian 3:13
- For courage to change when our circumstances do not
- For protection and wisdom and perseverance for our missionaries who face even more difficulties than we can imagine during the pandemic
Pray for CCC:
- To remember our calling is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and that our work does not stop at worship, fellowship or good deeds.
- To confess our sins to and pray for each other so that we may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16
- To commit time and energy to do our jobs well from planning to execution and evaluation
- That we may serve in unity of purpose for the glory of God. May He always have the last Word
- To assess where we may improve on opportunities for discipleship across all segments of our congregations
To Think About: Let us focus on the majesty and power of our Father, the one who created all things and has never failed to take care of us in the past, is continually with us in the present and will continue to love us into heaven in the future. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.. John 15:7 ESV Remaining in Jesus and waiting patiently for Him secures our blessing.
