Prayers – April 20, 2025
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
O Lord, we remember that first Easter. . . .
… because death could not conquer, nor the tomb imprison You, we are now resurrection people full of hope and purpose.
… because You loved this world so much, you gave your one and only Son, that we might be called your children too. Lord Jesus, thank you for making room in your family for us – the doubters, the fearful, the troubled, us sinners – and for your obedience to a sacrificial death on the cross so our Father turns a blind eye to our repented sin.
… when You startled the disciples with your resurrected presence. Startle us the same way when we become complacent and comfortable with our limited knowledge of the gospel, by revealing something new and wonderful to us every day.
… because You were showing us your plan of salvation through Jesus that You want us to share with all creation, letting them know we can trust You for all our tomorrows.
Thank you for that first Easter that allows us to celebrate Easter for eternity. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

主啊，我們記得那第一次的復活節……
…因為死亡無法戰勝主，坟墓也無法囚禁主；如今我們成為充滿希望與使命的復活之民。
…因為神如此深愛這世界，甚至將祢獨生的兒子賜給我們，好讓我們也得稱為神的兒女。主耶穌，感謝祢在家中為我們留出位置—即使我們曾是懷疑的、恐懼的、煩惱的、罪人般的我們；也感謝祢順服，犧牲性命在十字架上，使我們的父能夠寬恕我們懊悔的罪。
…當主以復活後的榮耀驚動了門徒時，求主同樣在我們因對福音知識有限而自滿安逸之際，震撼我們，每天向我們啟示全新而奇妙的事物。
…因為神藉著耶穌向我們展示了祂救赎的計劃，並要我們將這消息與全造物分享，讓大家知道在所有明天中我們都可以倚靠主。
感謝主那第一次的復活節，使我們得以永遠慶祝復活節。奉耶穌的名祈禱，阿們。
