Sabbatical for Pastor Josh Please pray for Pastor Josh and his family as he goes on sabbatical leave from April 22 to July 22. Pray that as he rests, studies, and spends time away from CCCDC that God would rejuvenate and strengthen him to return with energy and vision to continue to serve our church well.

Chinese Spring Retreat at CCC, April 26-27, 2025. “Choosing Decisions that Honor God”. The retreat will feature both Mandarin and Cantonese. Topics include “The Entrapment of Power,” “The Wait in the Wilderness” and “The Surrender of Self.” The speaker is Elder Dr. Eddie Chang from the Chinese Bible Church in College Park. Lunch included.
Mission donations total $3,350.00 for the month of March. YTD totals for 2025 amount to $10,200.00. For information about supported ministries or to suggest others, please contact Jeremy Fan.
Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed support to seven missions in 2025 so far and others
Easter Lilies may be purchased for display on Easter Sunday. Remember or honor a loved one by donating a lily for the altar or giving to a shut-in. Complete the form found in the literature racks and submit payment of $15 per plant by April 13 to the office.
Vacation Bible School Our annual summer program for elementary children will take place August 4-8, 2025. 2025 US Capitol Bible Reading Marathon, Sat Apr 26, 2025 – Wed Apr 30, 2025, West steps of the US Capitol Building, Washington D.C. Come join the effort to publicly read God’s Holy Word on the steps of the national and state Capitols, every year, for ninety consecutive hours. Pastor Charles has signed up for April 27 to read from 12:45 pm – 1:15 pm and 10 pm – midnight. ● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join together as a church pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during family for prayer in our next virtual meeting on May 6, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. You may the hour.
● Mandarin Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Tuesdays, 7 pm on zoom.
● Cantonese Prayer Meeting, Wednesdays, 7:45 pm on zoom.
Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card, or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be May 8, 2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
