Retreat Speaker – Rev. John Tung
John has served in the English Ministry of the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland in Rockville, MD since 1990. He is a thinker and a people person. He gets his thinking from his dad and his own pastor, his people skills from his mom and his wife. He loves chatting with people and enjoys a cup of coffee while talking about theology, philosophy, current events or caring for people.
He received his B.A. in Religious Studies and a Philosophy Minor from Queens College. He graduated with M.A.R., M. Div. and D. Min. from Westminster Theological Seminary.
The retreat theme is We Are the Church and time will be spent on defining the church and its missional purpose and how we should be engaged in fulfilling that purpose.
His family includes his wife Elizabeth, three grown children and their spouses and two grandsons.

Besides the teaching, the schedule includes worship, sharing, plenty to eat, free time to enjoy the campus, recreation or nearby attractions. Elementary-age children will enjoy their own activities and babysitters will be hired to engage preschoolers.
