“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
- Thank you, Lord, for always working for our good.
- Thank you, Lord, for the church family working hard together to tell the story of Queen Esther – may we learn to be prepared and courageous in whatever our circumstances.
- Thank you, Lord, for reminding us in this season of Advent of the joy You bring through Jesus: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:4-5 May we know a joy that can only come through a patient heart immersed in the surety of hope.
- We pray for those enduring unimaginable hardships not of their own doing.
- May we see your star, hear your song, and know that Jesus is here.
- Renew our minds with your Word: He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. Psalm 103:10-13
- We pray for our loved ones going through tough times – health, economic, and financial turmoil – may we see God at work in these temporary situations.
- We are struggling Lord with all that is on our agenda for the day – help us to refocus on Your agenda for our day.
- Forgive us, Lord, when we have not offered a patient and encouraging word to those around us.
- We pray for our missionaries – their ministry trials, their health, their finances, and their families.
- Let us think about your promise of recognizing what we do in Your name. “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward. Matthew 10:42
