Chinese Mission Convention 2021 will be held online December 28 and 29, 2021 this year.  The Chinese Mission Convention (CMC) is dedicated to challenging, empowering, and mobilizing individuals and churches to reach the world for Christ. CMC seeks to unleash us for God’s global glory.  Separate sessions are provided in Mandarin and English. New Schedule for Bowie Restaurant Fellowship  The group will meet in person every other Sunday beginning December 5 at 11:00 pm in one of the members’ home. On alternate Sundays they will still meet on Zoom at 10:30 pm.  For details, please contact Pastor Charles.

Pastor Charles will be on vacation through December 1.  Please contact the church office if you or someone you know is in need of pastoral care.

Dedication of Chinatown Service Center after renovation The original dedication was to have occurred in March 2020 on a Sunday for the whole congregation to participate, but due to the pandemic it was canceled.  We give thanks for Lester and Stella Lee establishing the Hop Nam Lee Memorial Fund which not only helped with the renovation expenses but will be supporting the work of the Center in the future.  For the family’s convenience (since they live out-of-town), a small dedication ceremony will be held on Friday, December 3.

Soul Sisters Activity The women of our church will have their first gathering since before the pandemic on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10 am – 12 noon for outdoor fellowship and prayer walk.  Contact joandtomkee@yahoo.com for meeting directions, details, or to request a pick-up from the White Flint metro.

Parking Available at PMI Parking lots:  Our regular parking arrangement at 900 New York Avenue is NOW AVAILABLE on Sundays.  You may park for free on the street or in the PMI open lot which you enter on 9th Street. We will still have a paid arrangement at the PMI Garage at 600 Mass Ave for those who need to have a closer option for parking.  For either lot, please make sure you pick up a validation stamp or follow-up ticket at the front door from security or greeters. Pardon our Dust Work is continuing on the security grant project awarded to our church so be cautious around any work areas in progress.  Please stay in assigned worship and Sunday School areas only.  Cameras, monitors and new doors will be installed.  The nationwide parts and delivery shortages are causing a delay.

  • Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting We invite you to join together as a church family for prayer on December 6, 2021 (the first Monday of the month) from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God.  There should be no explanation or self-introduction.  You may pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. COVID-19 Vaccinations are widely available for children and adults.  Contact your state or the district’s government website or your local health department for more information.  All individuals 5 and older are eligible for a shot, and many locations have walk-up availability.  If you or someone you know needs help with getting a vaccination or have questions, please call Michelle at the Service Center 202-898-0061.

The church office and Chinatown Service Center are open full-time hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  All visitors must call the respective office to make an appointment before coming in and be informed of safety protocols, such as mask-wearing, when entering the church building.  Church office number is 202-637-9852 and Chinatown Service Center number is 202-898-0061.    Our building worker continues to maintain our building following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting against COVID-19.

Precautionary Measures Due to Coronavirus

  • Be cautious when going out – wearing a face covering is no longer mandated in DC but is required in some conditions and at the discretion of businesses.  Be cautious in large gatherings.  Stay home if you are sick.
  • Details of activity information changes are announced through the website, phone tree, social media. WTOP and WJLA will announce emergency changes.  If you want to be on the email list, please make sure we have your current email by contacting linda@cccdc.com
  • Anyone who has been exposed to coronavirus or tests positive must quarantine for 10 days.
  • Follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for protecting yourself – wear a mask, wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, stay home if you feel ill.  
  • Consult a doctor if you have a high fever, cough or breathing problems.  
  • Be aware of anti-Asian/Chinese sentiments from those who have anger or fear related to the virus’ origins.  Call 911 if you feel threatened.
  • Trust God in this and all situations acting as Jesus would to check on people who may need assistance, not giving into fear, verifying information before passing it on, praying often for His protection and trusting Him for the outcome.  Our response in any situation is a testimony of our faith.

教會辦公室和服務中心恢復正常辦公時間：星期一到星期五、早晨8點半到下午4點。來訪者必須提前、分別向教會辦公室和服務中心預約到訪時間、進入教會辦公室前要聆聽安全守則，并且在辦公室内遵守安全協議，佩戴口罩。教會辦公室電話為202-637-9852，服務中心電話為202-898-0061。教堂建築物維護工作人員按照疾病防控中心對新冠病毒防控的指引，持續對教堂及大樓進行清潔和消毒工作。

新型冠狀病毒預防措施
