Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

• Thank you, Lord, that as I know You more, I experience more of your joy.
• Thank you, Lord, that for every obstacle in my path, You are working on the other side of it for my good.
• Thank you, Lord, for providing rainbows after storms.
• Thank you, Lord, for the hard things you ask me to do. It helps me to use the gifts you’ve given me to be more like Jesus.
• Thank you, Lord, for rescuing me from the law of sin and death.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

• For those who are shut-in their homes or nursing facilities
• That we may be ready to share what God has done in our lives with another
• That we may demonstrate compassion for all of God’s people, being ready to offer: a shoulder to support them when they can’t go any further; arms to hug to show compassion and care; ears to listen to their worries, complaints, and fears.
• For those mourning loss of loved ones
• For those suffering due to the forces of nature
• For our children who are vulnerable to Covid-19
• For realization that we can bring every little thing on our hearts to God in prayer
• For our nation’s leaders to seek God’s wisdom for dealing with crises in the world
• For our missionaries who obey God’s commission to make disciples even when the path is difficult
• For God’s mercy in our world which needs to know the love of the Savior

Pray for CCC:

• That we may worship God with confidence that He hears us. Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me. Psalm 66: 16-20
• That we don’t rush to follow the path we think is the best and shortest but follow the path that God has paved for us
• To continue the joy of worshiping the Lord in His sanctuary in safety at I Street church and in unity with our online brothers and sisters
• To act with mercy and positivity when things don’t turn out as planned. Ephesians 4:2
• For eager coworkers to fill jobs in the ministry of the church
• That we may give God elbow room to work and not confine Him to our way of thinking for we are not His equal
• For energy and enthusiasm to restart programs for discipleship and evangelism

To Think About: What’s needed most if we are to be disciples of Christ? Life-Changing Fellowship.  Our fellowship must spur one another on and build each other up in faith. The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Mathew 4:4 To become mature disciples, our fellowship must have a spiritual goal.  Having a meal with others is a perfect context for fellowship, but our conversation must be about encouraging one another in our faith in Jesus.

感謝主每日同行：

• 感謝主，當我更多地認識你，就更多經歷你的喜樂。
• 感謝主為著我的好處，與我一起剋服我人生經歷的每個難處。
• 感謝主讓風暴之後有彩虹。
• 謝謝主把不容易的事情交給我，為的是幫助我使用從你而來的恩賜，使我更像耶穌。
• 謝謝主救我脫離罪與死的捆綁。

為主內弟兄姊妹禱告：

• 為行動不便，不能離家外出的弟兄姊妹禱告。
• 讓我們時刻準備好與他人分享神在我們生命中所行的一切。
• 求主幫助我們準備好自己，向世人彰顯神的惻隐之心：當他們不能繼續承受重擔時、以肩為他們的支撑，以臂膀擁抱給予同情和關愛、以傾聽的耳朵去聆聽他們的憂慮、不滿和懼怕。
• 為失去摯愛而哀傷的弟兄姊妹禱告。
• 為經歷了自然災害的民衆禱告。
• 為疫情中，容易感染新冠病毒的孩子們禱告。
• 求主幫助我們領會到：在禱告中，將我們心中的每樣大小事情都帶到主面前。
• 為美國的國家領導人在處理世界緊張局勢時，能專心尋求從神而來的智慧。
• 讓我們為遵從“大使命”的宣教士禱告，使他們在艱難的道路中仍然領人成爲基督的門徒。
• 為世人都得神的恩典、認識救贖主的慈愛禱告。

為教會的需要禱告：

• 讓我們在信心中敬拜神，相信他聼我們的呼求. 凡敬畏神的人，你們都來聽，我要述說他為我所行的事。我曾用口求告他，我的舌頭也稱他為高。我若心裡注重罪孽，主必不聽。但神實在聽見了，他側耳聽了我禱告的聲音。神是應當稱頌的！他並沒有推卻我的禱告，也沒有叫他的慈愛離開我。（詩篇 66: 16-20）
• 讓我們跟隨神為我們鋪設的道路，不要急於走我們自己認為最好和最捷徑的路。
• 求神保守我們能在喜樂中繼續安全地在教堂實體敬拜和同時維持合一的網絡敬拜。
• 不論情況如何變化，讓我們可以“凡事謙虛、溫柔、忍耐，用愛心互相寬容，（以弗所書 4:2）”
• 求神賜下熱心服侍的同工擔當教會事工中的位置。
• 讓我們給神的工作留回轉的空間，而不是用人爲的考慮方式限制神的工作，因爲我們本不是與神等同的。
• 讓我們充滿熱情和精力恢復門徒訓練和福音廣傳。

思考：我們要成為基督的門徒，最需要什麼？答案就是：使生命改變的團契。我們的團契必須要彼此激勵，在信心中互相建造。經上記著說：“人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠神口裡所出的一切話。”（馬太福音4: 4）。  要成為成熟的門徒，我們必須建立屬靈的目標，與弟兄姊妹一起用餐是團契生活中美好的層面，但是交談必須在主内互相鼓勵，使我們彼此的信心堅定在基督耶穌之上。
