Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

• Thank you, Lord, for the majesty of sunrises and sunsets.
• Thank you, Lord, for creating families.
• Thank you, Lord, that I can believe your responses to my prayers are always trustworthy.
• Thank you, Lord, that whatever this day brings, You will be with me through it.
• Thank you, Lord, for the calm that comes after the storm.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

• To see that our God cannot be neatly described in our finite thinking because He is too vast and incomprehensible. Help us to accept the mysteries of God’s greatness.
• For those anticipating or recovering from medical treatment
• For those suffering from extremes in weather and fire storms
• To ask and believe that God will bring us victory against the virus. Protect those who are treating patients with this illness
• To use discerning hearts before speaking out with our first thoughts
• To be generous with what God has given us to do good for others and in the world
• For our missionaries to find the resources, wisdom, and faith to meet the challenges of each day
• To accept that the future may be very different from what we used to know.
• For the safety of our college students preparing to return to campuses for study. May the opportunity to gain knowledge not be marred by sickness.
• For the safety of our young children preparing to return to in person learning in elementary school and high school settings. May the opportunity to gain knowledge not be marred by sickness.

Pray for CCC:

• Come and listen, all you who fear God,and I will tell you what he did for me. For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Psalm 66:16-19
• For a safe, God-honoring reopening worship in God’s physical sanctuary at CCC
• To use every gift of the Holy Spirit available to us – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – to carry out God’s ministry for our church
• For children’s Sunday School planning – teaching materials, personnel, physical furnishings, and safe return to in-person activities
• To be good stewards of the resources available to us
• To provide opportunities for serving, discipleship, and fellowship

To Think About: What’s needed most if we are to be disciples of Christ? Growing in the Word.  We study God’s Word so that we can apply it to our lives. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20 To become mature disciples, our prayer must be to ask God, not only what He wants us to know, but also what He wants us to do and obey.

為主內弟兄姊妹禱告：

• 知道我們的上帝無法在我們有限的思想中清楚地描述，因為祂浩大而無法領會。求主幫助我們接受祂偉大的奧秘。
• 為那些等待醫療或在康復中的禱告。
• 為那些因極端天氣和火災而蒙難的禱告。
• 祈求並相信主會讓我們戰勝病毒。求祂保守那些在治療病毒患者的人。
• 讓我們有識別之心，說話不要破口而出，每事謹言慎行。
• 讓我們慷慨地利用上帝賜給我們的一切，為他人和世界行善。
• 讓我們的傳教士找到資源、智慧和信念來迎接每一天的挑戰。
• 教我們接受與我們過去所知悉可能大不相同的未來。
• 為了我們準備返校園學習的大學生禱告。 願他們平安，不會被疾病破壞了學習的機會。

為教會的需要禱告：

• 凡敬畏神的人，你們都來聽！我要述說他為我所行的事。我曾用口求告他；我的舌頭也稱他為高。我若心裡注重罪孽，主必不聽。但神實在聽見了；他側耳聽了我禱告的聲音。（詩篇66:16-19）
• 祈求我們在上帝的CCC聖所重開時，有一個安全的、榮耀祂的實體崇拜。
• 教我們使用每一份聖靈的恩賜 — 仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔和節製 — 來為我們的教會執行上帝的事工。
• 為兒童主日學規劃 — 教材、人員、實物家具和安全返回實體活動禱告。
• 為我們享有的資源作好管家禱告。
• 求主提供侍奉、門徒訓練和團契的機會。

思考：我們要成為基督的門徒，最需要什麼？答案就是：在主的話語中成長。我們研讀上帝的話語，是為了將其應用到我們的生活中。

所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗（或作：給他們施洗，歸於父、子、聖靈的名）。凡我所吩咐你們的，都教訓他們遵守，我就常與你們同在，直到世界的末了。（馬太福音28:19-20）。要成為成熟的門徒，我們的禱告必須不單只求問上帝祂要我們知道什麼，還要問祂需要我們做些什麼而致服從。
