Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

• Thank you, Lord, for Jesus, for his willingness to suffer the penalty for my sin.
• Thank you, Lord, for safety when I venture out of my home.
• Thank you, Lord, for a holiday from work, may I use it for your glory!
• Thank you, Lord, that as I watch a seed grow into a blossom or something to eat, I am witnessing the miracle of your creative power.
• Thank you, Lord, for ordinary people performing angelic tasks to encourage me.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

• For God’s calming presence for those anticipating surgery or medical treatment
• For strength and trust for those who have lost loved ones, especially in the building collapse in Florida
• For relaxation and safety for those on vacation
• That hearts will be softened and receptive to the Word of God
• To teach others how to experience God’s presence
• For wisdom to be God’s salt and light in our workplace
• For those suffering in weather extremes
• For our shut-ins
• For family members to be patient with one another

Pray for CCC:

• It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre. You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. Psalm 92:2
• To rest assured that we can meet any challenge the world throws at us because the Lord is with us.
• That thanksgiving be our attitude in worship and way of life for we are never without God’s favor and love
• In the words of John Wesley, God grant that I may never grow to be useless.
• To believe that when we call on God, He can and will move mountains
• That if we are not planting in good soil, He redirects our energies
• To be wise and welcoming in reopening planning

To Think About: We often have questions that can rock our faith such as ‘what is the meaning of life’?  The world can pull at us from many directions with promises of making life better, but Jesus reminds us of the standards that will be used to invite us into His kingdom.   “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’  “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me! Matthew 25:31-46. What we do for the ‘least of these’ defines our life.

感謝主每日同行：

• 感謝主耶穌，你願意為我的罪受刑致死。
• 感謝主，當我嘗試踏出家門時，你保守我平安。
• 感謝主讓我在工作中有假期，求主讓我能利用假期榮耀你的名！
• 感謝主，當我看著一粒種子長大開花或結果供人食用時，我正在見證你創造力的奇蹟。
• 感謝主，讓平常人有天使般的行爲來鼓勵我。

為主內弟兄姊妹禱告：

• 為等待手術和治療的弟兄姊妹有神同在的平安而禱告。
• 為失去至親的人能有對神的依靠和從神而來的力量禱告，特別為在弗羅里達住宅樓倒塌中失去親人的百姓禱告。
• 為假期中的安全和輕鬆禱告。
• 求神使人心柔軟，能接受神的話語
• 求神幫助我們有能力見證和引導他人經歷神的同在。
• 願我們有智慧在職場為神做鹽和光。
• 為因極端天氣感到不適的人禱告
• 為我們不能外出的家人禱告。
• 為家人之間彼此有恆久接納的心禱告。

為教會的需要禱告：

• 用十弦的樂器和瑟，用琴彈幽雅的聲音，早晨傳揚你的慈愛，每夜傳揚你的信實，這本為美事。(詩篇92:2)
• 因為主與我們同在，我們能全然相信我們能夠應對世界向我們提出的任何挑戰。
• 願我們以感恩的心態去敬拜和生活，因為神的恩惠和慈愛從不曾離開我們。
• 約翰衛斯理曾經説，神應許我不會成爲徒然無用之人。
• 我們要相信當我們呼求神，神能夠挪移大山。
• 如果我們的福音事工偏離了神的心意，求神扭轉我們在事工上的能力投入祂的方向
• 在準備教會重啓計劃中，讓我們心有智慧、行有熱情。

思考：我們常常遇到足以動搖我們信念的問題，例如：“生命的意義是什麽？”。世界用生活會更好的承諾，從不同的方向牽扯我們，但耶穌提醒我們可以進入他的國度的標準。   “義人就回答說：‘主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了給你吃，渴了給你喝？什麼時候見你做客旅留你住，或是赤身露體給你穿？又什麼時候見你病了或是在監裡，來看你呢？’王要回答說：‘我實在告訴你們：這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。’”   我們為“最小的”所做的事情定義了我們的生命的意義。（馬太福音25:31-46）
