Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

• Thank you, Lord, I am free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2
• Thank you, Lord, for my hero, Jesus, who died that I might live eternally.
• Thank you, Lord, for Your promise in Psalm 91, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in my name. When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation.”
• Thank you, Lord, that You alone are our fortress; we find protection and rest in you today.
• Thank you, Lord, for those who do difficult jobs with courageous and humility.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

• Those with ongoing health concerns, those recovering from surgery, those on a long road of treatment, and those waiting for God’s healing and peace
• Those in nursing or homebound care
• For those still reeling from COVID-19 virus effects in terms of health, finances, concern for loved ones, and work environment
• For those (both those afflicted and those trying to help) dealing with fire, hurricane conditions, and violence in their cities
• For teachers who must figure out new ways to engage students in virtual learning situations
• For our families – for parents working from home and supporting school children in their virtual learning classrooms
• For the nation’s leaders seeking elected office; may they demonstrate integrity and wisdom in the campaign and provide viable solutions to issues affecting our fellow citizens
• For our missionaries in danger from an unbelieving, hostile world in addition to COVID conditions
• That those who are burdened may turn their worries into worship
• For harmony among our family members, that the stresses of the pandemic do not cause us to be angry with those close to us

Pray for CCC:

• Pray that we may worship God by the life we lead. So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Romans 12:1 GNT
• For the Nominating Committee to persevere in presenting a ballot for next year’s Official Board; for church members to prayerfully consider if God is calling them to serve in leadership of the church
• That virtual worship may continue to bless people with God’s Word
• For renewed energy and focus on fall outreach as our unusual summer comes to a close
• That we may courageously shine the light of Jesus in all we plan and do. 2 Corinthians 4:6
• For those taking care of our building and handling ordinary tasks
• For wisdom, rest, and good health for our pastors

To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded to exercise wisdom in foreseeing and steering clear of trouble or suffer the consequences of not looking.  Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, but an unthinking person will walk right into it and regret it later. Proverbs 27:12 GNT

• 感謝救主耶穌為我而死，使我也與永生有份。
• 感謝神的應許，在詩篇91篇中神說：「因為他專心愛我，我就要搭救他；因為他知道我的名，我要把他安置在高處。他若求告我，我就應允他；他在急難中，我要與他同在。我要搭救他，使他尊貴。我要使他足享長壽，將我的救恩顯明給他。」
• 唯有主耶穌是我的山寨，在你裏面我得保守和平安。
• 感謝在艱苦崗位的工作人員，感謝他們的勇敢和忘我的精神。

為主內弟兄姊妹禱告：

• 為身體軟弱和接受治療的肢體禱告，特別為準備接受手術、需要長期治療和復健，以及等候神的醫治和平安的人禱告，求主醫治使他們盡快康復。
• 為老人院或居家需要特別看護的長輩們禱告，願聖靈的關愛、平安和喜樂與他們同在。
• 為受新冠病毒干擾的人們禱告，特別是深陷在健康問題、財務狀況、對親人的關心和對工作環境的考慮。
• 為遭受火災、颶風和暴亂的城市的恢復工作禱告。
• 為教師禱告，願他們有合適的方法吸引學生在網絡上的學習。
• 為家庭禱告，願在家工作的父母同時也有時間幫助在網絡上課的孩子們。
• 為美國政府的大選禱告，希望參與競選的人員在競選活動中展示他們的公義和智慧，為關乎民生的問題提出可行性的解決辦法。
• 為宣教士的平安禱告，求神保守他們在敵對和病毒肆虐的環境中免於危險。
• 為背負勞苦重擔的人願意將他們的憂慮變成對神的敬拜。
• 為家人之間的和睦相處禱告，不要讓對流行病的焦慮造成對身邊親人的惱怒。

為教會的需要禱告：

• 願用我們生命中的一切來敬拜神。所以弟兄們，我以神的慈悲勸你們，將身體獻上，當做活祭，是聖潔的，是神所喜悅的，你們如此侍奉乃是理所當然的。羅馬書12：1
• 為提名委員會提名明年董事會成員候選人名單的工作禱告，也願弟兄姊妹用禱告的心考慮成爲教會事工的領導同工。
• 願網絡崇拜繼續用神的話語賜福會衆。
• 當這個不尋常的夏季結束時，求主加添能力使我們專注秋季外展事工。
• 讓我們勇敢而竭力地活出神兒女的樣式，成爲這個世界的一盞明燈。（哥林多書4:6）
• 為看顧教堂和處理日常事務的同工禱告。
• 為牧者的健康、平安和智慧禱告。

思考：上帝在箴言中賜智慧指導我們的生活，提醒我們在日常生活中要有遠見，躲避困境，否則將承擔不能遇見的難處。箴言27章第12節說：“通達人見禍藏躲，愚蒙人前往受害。”
