Prayers: July 12, 2020

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, for Your compassion for me. Luke 7:13
  • Thank you, Lord, for all the bike-riding children reminding us of important things like innocence and joy.
  • Thank you, Lord, for flourishing gardens which reflect Your power to change our world.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the Herculean efforts our first line workers are making to keep us safe and well.
  • Thank you, Lord, that with You all things are possible when I believe.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Those with ongoing health concerns.
  • Those in nursing or homebound care.
  • That we be committed to doing our part in keeping others safe from COVID-19, even if it causes us a little discomfort.
  • That we would join together with fellow Christians to confess and repent of our sins, concentrate on our mission of gospel globalization, and trust God to end this “plague”
  • That we be encouragers to others to be perseverant in their trust in God. Acts 11:23
  • That You would lift the anxiety from those who have returned to work.
  • For those looking for work
  • For those who take part in activities that endanger the community; pray that we have the opportunity to tell them the good news of Jesus.
  • For our country and leaders of our land, that they may be inspired by God to govern with righteousness and wisdom.
  • For the missionaries who are laboring in foreign lands, that they have God’s protection and perseverance through this pandemic.

Pray for CCC:

  • Pray that we make giving God all glory and honor a priority in our lives. Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor. 1 Chronicles 16:29 NLT
  • That we approach God with humility and pure intentions so we may receive God’s goodness and answers to our prayers
  • That we be courageous in bringing light to the world
  • For spiritual insight for our pastors that they may preach online effectively
  • For committees in the church continuing to do their jobs despite social distancing and technological difficulties
  • To be communicating to God about everything in our hearts

To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded what we do and say will always cause a reaction in others.  We should think about what reaction God would like us to cause in others.  As surely as a wind from the north brings cold [rain], just as surely a retort causes anger! Proverbs 25:23 TLB

為主內弟兄姊妹禱告：

  • 為身體軟弱和接受治療的肢體，和為遭受新冠病毒感染的病人禱告，願主醫治使他們盡快康復。
  • 為老人院或居家需要特別看護的長輩們禱告，願聖靈的關愛、平安和喜樂與他們同在。
  • 願我們能承受一點不適而盡作公民的責任來一起抗疫。
  • 願我們一起來到神面前認罪悔改，盡心盡意傳福音，信靠神會終止這次“瘟疫”。
  • 讓我們作勸慰者，幫助人立定心志堅持靠主的信心。徒 11：23
  • 為尋找工作的人禱告。
  • 求主挪去復工人員心中的焦慮。
  • 為傷害我們的家庭、社區的人們禱告，讓我們有機會引導他們認識耶穌。
  • 為在上掌權的領袖們禱告，願他們得從神而來的智慧和同情心治理這塊土地。
  • 為處境艱難的海外宣教士禱告，求神賜給他們平安和恆心度過疫情汎濫帶來的多重困難。

為教會的需要禱告：

  • 讓我們以敬畏神和榮耀神為我們生活的中心。要將耶和華的名所當得的榮耀歸給他，拿供物來奉到他面前；當以聖潔的（的：或作為）妝飾敬拜耶和華。代上 16：29
  • 願我們以謙卑和聖潔的心來到神面前祈求，領受神給我們美善的回答。
  • 讓我們勇敢地作世上的光。
  • 給牧者們異象，在網上牧會得到有效的傳講。
  • 儘管有社交隔離和技術難題，願教會各委員會雖然在疫情中也能順利進行他們的任務。
  • 讓我們將心中的各樣思慮都與主交通。

思考：上帝在箴言中賜智慧指導我們的生活，凡對人作出的言語行為都會使他人產生反應，讓我們思想神喜悅的方式，使我們的言語行為讓他人有正面的回應。北風生雨，讒謗人的舌頭也生怒容。箴言25：23
